	*Meet the ICHP (Australia) Principal – Peter L. George* Peter George, following award of a Master’s degree in Science and a 2 year Commonwealth Postgraduate Fellowship for study in the UK and US, worked for the Australian Government as a Research Scientist in communications rising to Principal Research Scientist in 1978. Whilst in the US Peter took the opportunity to study Cognitive-behavioural Psychotherapy. Some 6 years after returning to Australia he chose to make a career transition into fulltime clinical work. In 1997 and 1998 he traveled to Dublin, Ireland, to study with Dr Joe E. Keaney at the Institute of Clinical Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy and attended Masterclasses with Dr Michael Yapko the worldfamous clinical hypnotherapist and with Dr Roy Hunter, an expert in Parts (Ego-state) Therapy. After gaining his Diploma in Analytical Hypnotherapy and an Advanced Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy/Psychotherapy he undertook postgraduate studies at the University of S. Australia in Health Counseling (Social Science). In 2001 Peter commenced lecturing at postgraduate level at the ICHP in Ireland in the areas of Holistic Integrative Psychotherapy (HIT therapy) and in Trauma Counselling in Hypno-psychotherapy. Peter is on the Advisory Board of ICHP (Ireland). In 2002 the Principal of ICHP Ireland, Dr Keaney, granted a License which permitted the formation of ICHP (Australia) and the teaching in Australasia and SE Asia of the ICHP Foundation Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy. Certificates and Diplomas are awarded jointly by ICHP Headquarters and ICHP (Australia) and are recognized throughout the world. Peter George is the Principal and Director of Studies in Australia.
